About ART CENTRIX GRANTS
Art Centrix Grants is a new vertical, conceived by Art Centrix Space to open opportunities to support young artists of our country. Art Centrix Grants aims to develop artistic research, production, and exhibitions through process-driven approaches. As a gallery, Art Centrix Space has been dedicated to nurturing contemporary artistic thought, keeping the future of art in India in mind with rigorous program-driven discourses, and curatorial interventions to strengthen the ecosystem of contemporary art at both national and international levels. Our gallery’s core focus is to actively engage and represent regions and voice vernacular and regional concerns. Acknowledging the significance of working together in a post pandemic world, ACS Grants will forge valuable collaborations between artists, institutions, patrons and mentors to help develop a support system for visual art practitioners both for conceptual thinking and production work. Through this initiative, we aim to support artists in the initial phase of their careers. We will allocate annual grants dedicated to particular medium-focused practices for every edition, fostering a broader spectrum of diversity, and providing timely support for various medium-based practices.
About ART CENTRIX PAINTING GRANT 2024
Art Centrix Painting Grant 2024, is the inaugural grant specifically for diverse painting-based methodologies. This grant welcomes not only artists focused on painting, but encourages interdisciplinary approaches that engage with painterly concepts and materials, fostering a broader exploration of artistic sensibilities. This edition attempts to celebrate the history of the medium, its evolving contemporary frameworks, and the valuable contribution the medium has made in the development of Indian art.
Highlights of the ART CENTRIX PAINTING GRANT 2024
Through the grant 10 shortlisted artists will get an opportunity to showcase their works as part of a group exhibition this year at the gallery, Art Centrix Space, New Delhi.
One selected grantee among the 10 shortlisted artists will receive an opportunity to do a solo exhibition at the gallery, Art Centrix Space, by the end of 2024.
The one selected grantee will receive a substantial grant of INR 2,00,000/-.
Who can Apply
There is no age limit to the application process.
Artists have to be an Indian National or an Indian origin artist residing outside India.
Application Requirements
A portfolio of artworks inclusive of high-resolution images, and complete details that should include title, medium, size and year very clearly. It should include a minimum of 5 recent available works.
The Artist Statement can be written in English or in any Indian language. The statement can also be supplemented with a video statement (90 seconds max). The written statement should be a maximum of 300 words.
Updated CV maximum 2 pages.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted for review.
All images and documents must be in a pdf format. The document size should not exceed more than 10 MB.
